Origin
Pattachitra style of painting originated from Raghurajpur, a small and artsy village in Odisha. The village houses talented artists who work day and night to create these unique paintings and keep the legacy alive.
Created on handmade paper and palm leaves, the paintings are an attempt at “Recreating the Historical tales through paints and brushes.”

Government to the Rescue
INTACH did two-year research in the village and later on declared it as a ‘Heritage Village’. They even hired artists to paint houses and a rest house to promote the art.
